Patrol Division

The Haverhill Police Patrol Division is the backbone of the Haverhill Police Department. The focus of Patrol Division is on prevention and enforcement. The Patrol Division consist of 58 officers and supervisors who are assigned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 52 weeks a year to proactively patrol Haverhill’s 35.6 square miles. Patrol Officers are assigned to geographic areas also known as beats. These beats are organized to optimize response times when responding to calls for service. It also promotes familiarity with residents and neighborhood needs.

The mission of the Patrol Division is to serve the nearly 63,000 Haverhill citizens as well as thousands of yearly visitors, by responding to or proactively engaging in 79,000 emergency and/or non-emergency calls for service. Patrol officers initiate citizen contacts, respond to calls for service, make arrests, and conduct traffic enforcement. This is accomplished by maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity while treating all with respect and dignity.
