Application Process

Once the initial application is received, which should include a brief cover letter, resume and any training certification(s) you may have, your application will be reviewed. If everything appears to be in order, a background check which includes a driving history and a criminal history check will be completed. Upon review of the driving and criminal history check, you will be contacted to setup a time for a preliminary interview with one of the supervisory officers on the Auxiliary Police. If you successfully complete the preliminary interview, the final step in the process is an interview with the Patrol Commander of the Haverhill Police Department, who oversees the Auxiliary Police Officers.
